Box Quality: (8/10)
The box is shown above and below. The rectangular box is sized similar to Ravensburger and Jumbo. The front and sides are nicely designed but the back is blank white.
The sides:
I love the side with the close-up detail.
Inside the box:
There’s nothing inside the box except the bag of puzzle pieces.
There was a considerable amount of puzzle dust in the bag of pieces. Take care to open the bag over a surface you can easily clean up (like the vinyl back of a Jigboard cover).
The Image: 9/10
This puzzle is one of the new January 2016 releases, and it’s awesome. Its a collage of various vintage images, all with a Royal Canadian Mounted Police theme. I like the way the red jackets crop up all over the image, and there are some nice bright yellows, aquas and blues. Each little vignette tells a story.
Because each vintage image is relatively small on the puzzle, there’s no problem with fuzzy resolution, which can sometimes occur with vintage art.

Puzzle Quality: 9/10
You can see our full brand comparison on Eurographics here.
The quality of this puzzle is quite good. As you can see in the detail close-up below, the puzzle is randomly cut with a large variety of piece shapes. The pieces feel thick and the image reproduction is good. The pieces are of average size, not large like White Mountain, but not overly small either. The final puzzle is a modest 19 1/4″ x 26 5/8″. It fit fine on my Jigboard 1000. The pieces interlock well and there’s no confusion about where a piece goes. The cut outline is very visible in the final puzzle, however, compared to a Jumbo or Ravensburger. This is not ideal if you want to frame the completed puzzle.
Assembly: 8/10
This is a medium difficulty puzzle. Some parts are easy–the border, the red coats, the bright yellow and aqua. A lot of the puzzle is outdoor scenery, though–trees, sky, etc. Those areas are darker and not as simple to assemble. It’s a decent challenge and a fun experience completing the individual vignettes.
Conclusion
If you like vintage images, you’ll definitely want to check out “Royal Canadian Mounted Police”!

I’m curious to know why you only gave 4 stars instead of 5 on the Puzzle Warehouse review of this puzzle?
Since 5 stars is the highest rating, I’ve been reserving that for puzzles that score 9.0 or above.
